A desire to find a home for three images started this project. That's where this work began.
A black walnut board, rough cut, had been waiting in the shop for over a year. Some passes on the joiner, a few runs through the planer and the grain showed itself. Looked promising.
Slow experimenting at the miter saw taught how to close the miters.
The glue up went smoothly. Some sanding up through 220 and then a few coats of Danish oil seemed to really let the grain pop. Sometimes less is more when the material is right.
